Social Media Specialist

Summary/Objective:

We are searching for an experienced and motivated social media specialist to join our creative team. You will be responsible for devising social media campaigns and the day-to-day management of the company’s social media assets. Your passion for social media as a communications tool will result in the adoption and implementation of social media best practices across all social media channels.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, a dynamic creative writer, and a team player. You will be an active participant in data collecting and analytics in order to constantly enhance the company’s social media operations over time.

Essential Functions:

  • Formulating strategies for the company's social media content that are in line with the company's brand voice.
  • Writing and editing original, engaging content for all social media channels, with an eye toward increasing brand awareness, fostering stronger relationships with existing customers, and launching new social media marketing initiatives.
  • Taking care of a lot of social media updates every day.
  • Maintaining contact with your social media followers, especially providing prompt responses to their questions.
  • Creating, directing, and participating in social influencer programmes and gatherings.
  • Monitoring and assessing the company's social media presence and performance through analytical tools like Google Analytics, Hoot suite Pro, and Facebook Insights.
  • Keeping track of social media marketing activities and reporting on them every month.
  • Advising on how best to fine-tune the social media marketing approach for maximum impact.
  • Observing the latest social media trends and keeping up with the best methods being used.
  • Assisting with various tasks as required..

Competencies:

  • Excellent understanding of the best ways to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, and other social media sites.
  • Knowing about SEO and how to measure web traffic
  • Experience doing research on audiences and buyer personas. Good knowledge of social media KPIs.
  • Knowledge of web design and publishing. Ability to do many things at once.
  • Think critically and know how to solve problems
  • Team player, good at keeping track of time
  • Great people skills and the ability to talk to others
  • Excellent skills in consulting, writing, editing (photos, videos, and text), presenting, and talking.
  • Social networking experience and knowledge of social analytics tools must be shown.
  • Knows enough about web design, web development, CRO, and SEO. Knows enough about online marketing and has a good grasp of the major marketing channels.
  • Positive attitude, good attention to detail and customers, and the ability to do more than one thing at once and stay organized.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a similar field.
  • At least 3 years of experience with social media, including planning and managing content in a business or agency setting.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and a deep understanding of how to manage and plan for social media.
  • Usage different analytics software.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, (hours to be specified). However, he/she must be flexible and available to work on weekends and holidays as needed.

Travel:

Occasional travel is needed.

Work Authorization:

Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
